The founder of the µstructure research group; Prof. Leandro Sanchez won the early researcher award 2020 that is given to researchers in the early stage of their academic career for his remarkable research in the durability of civil infrastructure.

The prestigious scholarship that is focused on academic excellence, research and leadership potential has been won by several of our group members. ​

Since the inauguration of the µstructure research group, its members has been frequent recipient of this merit based scholarship awarded by the Ontario government to deserving graduate student in the province.

• Canada Graduate Scholarships - CGS - Master's 

Academic achievements of some of our members has been recognized by the award body.

• ACI Quebec & E. Ontario Student Scholarship 3-minute presentation Award

Our students participates in the ACI Quebec & E. Ontario 3-minutes thesis challenge to discuss their research problems, results and wider contributions in three minutes or less. The group has awardee of this competition in record time.

• International Experience Scholarship

The group possesses winners of the University of Ottawa international experience scholarship awarded to students planning to gain research and academic experience outside of Canada.
